ALBIS PLASTIC Scandinavia will be exhibiting at the EasyFair Plastteknik in Malmö, Sweden. The company, located in central Gothenburg, is a subsidiary of ALBIS PLASTIC GmbH, the global specialist for the distribution and compounding of technical thermoplastics.
From April 13th to 14th ALBIS will present its broad product portfolio and excellent solutions offered by its well established distribution brands as well as its range of complimentary own brands and tailor-made solutions for the Automotive, Electrical & Electronics, Healthcare and Packaging industries.
In particular, ALCOM®, ALTECH®, ALTECH NXT PP® and Shelfplus® O2 products and their application possibilities in the relevant segments will be of interest to designers and specifiers alike.
The ALCOM® product range offers customer-specific solutions for LED lighting applications and economically efficient alternatives for metal components. ALCOM® materials are characterized by their exceptional properties, such as homogeneous light diffusion, excellent reflection or thermal conductivity with a simultaneously high degree of design freedom and mechanical strength. For example, products in the ALCOM® LB (Light Blocking) range ensure high light blocking properties while simultaneously providing a high degree of reflection to increase light output. With the ALCOM® LD (Light Diffusion) product line, benefits such as homogeneous, almost loss-free light scattering and excellent light output are achievable. ALCOM® LDX grades offer light diffusing solutions for the extrusion of profiles for linear LED light strips and covers. The ALCOM® LDX product line provides ready-to-use compounds with high translucence and optimum light scattering for homogeneous illumination.
To complete the range of high performance products, the following brands also feature in the ALCOM® lighting portfolio:
With ALTECH NXT PP®, which was developed especially for the automotive sector, ALBIS offers polypropylene based compounds as interesting alternatives to polyamide based compounds in terms of performance, price, availability and weight. ALTECH NXT PP® reduces the gap between standard and technical plastics. This allows a PP glass fiber material with a higher temperature resistance to be used as a potential substitute for PA6 GF, PA6 GF/mineral or even PP LGF.
ALTECH® ECO is a rebranding of ALTECH®. Produced with recycled raw materials, the propriety ALTECH® products will now be listed under the trade name ALTECH® ECO. ALTECH® ECO stands for ecological sustainability with “near-to-prime” performance and quality. ALTECH® ECO products are subjected to thorough raw material selection, strict quality controls and tight production tolerances. With ALTECH® ECO, ALBIS offers high-grade, sustainable compounds, which are virtually equivalent to comparable virgin grades and even offer a slight price advantage.
For the Healthcare industry ALBIS offers ALCOM® MED, tailor-made solutions that are produced according to the "Good Manufacturing Practice" (GMP) conditions of the food industry. These products are underpinned with a comprehensive service package addressing typical requirements of the healthcare industry, e.g. notification of changes or regulatory support with regards to bio-compatibility certifications.
SHELFPLUS® O2 is an ALBIS masterbatch solution for the packaging industry – an active-packaging component to absorb both the oxygen that penetrates the packaging from the outside as well as the oxygen captured within the packaged item itself, e.g. in the head space. SHELFPLUS® O2 offers ideal protection for sensitive contents such as fatty acids, vitamins and food colors. It also limits the growth of mold spores, whilst maintaining the taste and quality of the packaged product. In this regard, SHELFPLUS® O2 supports the industry trend to reduce preservatives and antioxidants.
